Our Story
1300 Health was established by Dr Josef Goldbaum in 2006 to increase ease and accessibility to healthcare.
Over years of seeing general practice patients, Dr Goldbaum noticed that consultations for many health issues could have been completed over the phone, without the need for waiting or leaving the comfort of your home.

Dr Josef Goldbaum

Dr. Josef Goldbaum graduated in 1971 from the University of Melbourne Medical School as a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., B.S.).
Dr Josef Goldbaum is a General Practitioner, medical doctor, medical acupuncturist, expert in nutritional and environmental medicine and a cosmetic physician and surgeon, and the founder of 1300 health in 2006.
Dr Goldbaum conceived and implemented the concept of Australian Telemedicine and Telehealth 15 years ago, to service the Australian public who could not access medical services in time ,or during the after hours period.
With over 45 years of extensive medical experience and immersion in the world of medicine and patient care, the quality of this service is second to none. He has ensured that the other GPs who are Telehealth consultants have at least 15 years of GP experience.
